Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe visited Papua New Guinea to attend the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Economic Leaders' Meeting. The Prime Minister spoke about the importance of a prosperous Asia-Pacific region through liberalization of trade and investment, and improving connectivity based on international rules. He went on to express Japan's commitment to playing a leading role so that the region continues to be a center of trade for the world.
