Prime Minister and LDP President Abe received an explanation from Moon Jae-In, the President of South Korea, about the North Korea-South Korea summit with Kim Jong-Un, Chairman of Workers' Party of Korea. During the explanation, Prime Minister Abe once again showed willingness to hold a summit with North Korea and he also expressed his gratitude to President Moon for bringing up the abduction issue during the summit and asked for continued cooperation on the improvement of Japan-North Korea relations. The two leaders also agreed to build a new, future-oriented relationship between Japan and South Korea.
