The G7 heads of state focused their first session (working lunch) on the topic of foreign relations and security. In discussions of the North Korea problem - the highest-priority challenge for the international community - Prime Minister and LDP President Abe noted the important role to be played by China and also called for cooperation aimed at an immediate resolution of the abductions issue.
