In conjunction with World Tsunami Awareness Day, the High School Student Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day will be held in Kuroshio Town, Kochi Prefecture on November 25 and 26 to raise awareness of tsunami preparedness. Approximately 250 high school students from 29 countries and 110 from Japan are invited to participate in the summit. Prior to the summit, the high school students will be divided into two groups to take a study tour of tsunami prevention measures in Miyagi Prefecture and Wakayama Prefecture on November 23rd and 24th.
