The LDP's Youth Division (Director: Keisuke Suzuki, member of the House of Representatives) sent a group of 55 members, including seven members of the Diet, to Taiwan on a study tour from August 22 to 26. Led by Director Suzuki and the previous Youth Division Director and Member of the House of Representatives Hideki Makihara, they arrived in Taiwan just after the new government had been installed. During their visit, they were able to exchange opinions with President Tsai Ing-wen and other key figures in the government and tour a power plant built when the island was governed by Japan. It was a significant trip for all parties involved.
