Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe was joined by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in a meeting with families of Japanese nationals abducted by North Korea. Mr. Trump touched on the abduction problem, referring to Megumi Yokota and other victims, in a September address to the United Nations General Assembly. To the families who have suffered for so long from the loss of their loved ones, Mr. Abe promised to work with the President and people throughout the world to do everything possible to solve the issue.
