While attending the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum, Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe met with President Vladimir Putin and reached an agreement to hold a summit in his home prefecture of Yamaguchi on December 15. The two leaders also agreed to prepare for the summit on political and economic aspects between the countries, including the negotiation of a peace treaty.
