Nepal suffered enormous damage in the earthquake that took place two months ago, and the Party's Federations of Prefectural Party Branches raised more than 10 million yen during fundraising drives in the cities and towns across the country. On hand for the presentation to Ambassador Madan Kumar Bhattarai were Sadakazu Tanigaki (Secretary-General), Kazunori Tanaka (Chairperson, Party Organization and Campaign Headquarters) and Masanobu Ogura (Deputy Director-General, International Bureau). Secretary-General Tanigaki expressed the Party's willingness to provide Nepal with full support. "We hope that the Japanese technology and expertise will be useful in recovering and rebuilding," he said.
