Prime Minister Abe met with President Baldwin Lonsdale of the Republic of Vanuatu, an island nation that suffered massive damage after a direct hit by a cyclone on March 13-14.

The Prime Minister indicated the intent of the government of Japan to quickly respond, saying, "We want to provide as much support as possible."
