Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has identified "the power of women" as the key to the "growth strategy," the third arrow of Abenomics. Our goal is to provide room for further expression of the "power of women" in economic and business life. As the Prime Minister stated, whether you are a full-time housewife or a woman with a career, you should have confidence and pride in your lifestyle and work toward the achievement of a "society in which women can shine". Our "Mission 2030 " is to attain a 30% ratio of women in leadership positions by 2020, the year of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. We will also need to increase the number of female legislators in the party, which is still considered low. The Women's Affairs Division has a major role to play in recruiting and supporting female candidates in next year's nationwide local elections.
