President Sadakazu Tanigaki met with the U.S. Ambassador, Mr. John V. Roos, for the first time on October 21 at Party Headquarters. Ambassador Roos, as a newly appointed ambassador to Japan, expressed his expectations that the US-Japan relationship would continue to be strong and stable. President Tanigaki expressed the view that the US-Japan relationship was Japan’s most critical bilateral relationship and that it would continue to be so.
