On the 21st October a group from the Chinese Communist Party Central Party School (headed by Zeng Qinghong, the Vice President of the PRC) lead by Mr. Wan Weiguang paid a courtesy call to Takebe Secretary-General in the Diet. The Central Political School is a body for training top level officials, most of its graduates work in top posts such as ministers and governors. Mr Wan commented, "Today I have come to promote interchange between Japan and China. Even though I unfortunately came to Japan on the day of a Typhoon, by talking with many Japanese people I have had the opportunity to increase my understanding of Japan. In reply, Secretary-General Takebe welcomed Mr Wan and said, "Today, you have had a taste of the Japanese Autumn, please meet lots of Japanese people and eat lots of delicious food." |
